Your Responsibilities

  • Introduction, development and maintenance of applications 
  • 2nd level support for services and applications within the field of tasks 
  • Coordination 3rd level support with suppliers 
  • Compiling of work instructions as well as optimization of work processes 
  • Taking over of project management tasks 
  • Guidance of retail business departments for compiling of requirement specifications and functional specifications 
  • Project associated creation of documentation 
  • Consultancy and training of Retail Business Departments 
  • Vendor Management and contact for suppliers and service partners of applications within the field of the retail business 
  • Coordinator between Business Departments and IT 
  • Support with analysis, documentation and optimization of business processes 
  • Compiling of proposals and coordination of proposals between Business Departments and manufacturers within the field of the retail business 
  • Coordination of release changes of the retail core banking system 
  • Management of projects and/or project tasks including documentation


  • Degree in (business-) informatics or business economics. 
  • IT, project and process management certifications are an advantage Proactive and hands on experience with Power Point and Excel 
  • Several years of job experience in Application Management, preferably in a bank 
  • High level and methodical project management skills, ideally ITIL and/or COBIT experience 
  • High level process management skills 
  • Profound functional know-how of bank operations, host and network applications in network-ing, operating systems, databases, system administration, service desk and security 
  • General knowledge and working experience in all IT areas 
  • Ability to handle separate tasks simultaneously 
  • Willingness to travel, mainly within western Europe 
  • Sensibility regarding working in a multi-cultural international environment 
  • Hands-on mentality 
  • High level communications and coordination skills as well as pronounced ability to work in a team
  • Leadership skills, ability to empathize, self-assertion, negotiating and presentation skills 
  • Team spirit, self-initiative, service disposition, resilience, outstanding engagement 
  • Abstract, analytic, combinational and systematic thinking, structured approach
  • Fluency in English, German strongly recommended and Russian is nice to have
