Business Analyst Risk Management (m/f/d)

Your Responsibilities

  • Identify, analyze and validate requirements for mentioned risk management systems, and integration interfaces of those systems and other systems including the data warehouse
  • Provide full IT analytical support for IT systems implementation projects and life cycle
  • Scope and shape projects through pre-project strategy alignment, feasibility, business requirements gathering, solution requirements definition and testing
  • Produce functional/technical specifications for third party IT vendors and in-house development IT teams
  • Work with end users to understand and specify the business requirement and obtain business sign off
  • Manage and deliver to key client expectation around IT functionality and the way it is implemented
  • Manage implementation of new functionality and IT solutions and ensure Business requirements are met
  • Develop and control delivery plans, manage the technology risks and issues and plan mitigation actions
  • Provide inner expertise on RFPs, technical and business documents provided by vendors


  • Degree in (business-) informatics or computer science
  • IT, project and process management certifications are an advantage
  • Solid minimum 3 years of working experience as IT Business Analyst within IT department of a bank, a consultancy firm or a software vendor
  • Practical experience of designing requirements and implementing a risk management system in risk management department of a bank
  • Experience in working more than 1 year with a single system (probably implementation then support/further development)
  • Experience with a widely used system (Calypso, Adaptiv, Murex, WSS, Kondor+) is a big advantage
  • Experience in SQL and Excel and defining system integration interfaces are a must
  • Programming experience (as a developer) is a big advantage
  • Knowledge of risk management principals in cross-asset universal banking business (retail, transactional, credit and corporate investment banking) including understanding of particular types of risk such as settlement risk, counterparty credit risk and issuer risk
  • Understanding, from business, data and system’s perspective, Fixed Income, Equity, FX & Rates, Commodities, Credit & Structuring (at least 2 asset classes), Derivatives and Light Exotics, including back-office and reporting specifics
  • Trading Book’s bank experience is a strong advantage
  • Good knowledge and wiliness to work in Agile methodology
  • Awareness of full lifecycle of banking software implementation: scoping and IT requirements definition, IT solution evaluation / RFP, functional design, testing, implementation, post-go live support and user training
  • Experience of working across multiple IT systems simultaneously with strong cross-system data flow analysis skills; ability to drill down into each system to analyze system behavior and data flows
  • Experience in onboarding of new IT applications from cost-benefit analysis and functional evaluation is a plus
  • Ability to work with a diverse range of business areas, effectively tailor communications to a diverse range of business and technical stakeholder groups
  • Excellent organizational and working discipline
  • Fluency in oral and written English, German and Russian language are advantageous
